Availability of guar seed after Fresh harvest of Guar crop in 2014-15 

After two- three months guar seed arrival will increase in market. October - November will be harvesting period and there will be peak arrival for next three -four months. This arrival will lead to over supply and guar price will further come down.  Generally big farmers go for regular stocking of guar seed  for wait  and watch behavior, but small farmer will keep pressure of availability in market. The fresh arrival liquidity of guar seed will keep pressure in the period of October to February- 2015. Availability of fresh guar seed will saturate market. Guar seed and Guar gum prices will be under pressure for coming next 6-8 months of current financial year 2014-2015

Will guar seed and guar gum prices keep rising or drop further ?

Guar will open low and it will settle down to last level up to end of April contract. Last week we have seen major recovery in guar prices. Guar seed and guar gum both improved very fast.  This hike was highly speculative.  At low volume speculators try to manipulate with circular trading to boost next contracts. In this process they pull out their investment with profit. This is time for Rabi commodity trading in guar growing belt. Price rise will not lead to improvement in trading and arrival of seed in market. Existing data predict that there will be further drop in guar gum export in this quarter as compared to last year.

In May contract situation will same with decreasing trading volume speculators will active and will try to influence market upside.  Investor should avoid low volume contracts as there is high risk of speculative trading.

Farmer and trader both don't touch Guar seed in this period. If the farmer will reach to market then no one will ready to buy his produce except guar gum factories. Factories are located on major town and cities. We can say it is not approachable for every farmer. There is channel of unregistered small traders; generally these traders are located in every 4-5 villages. These traders purchase directly from farmers and collect from 4-5 villages and sell to factories.

There is improvement in crude and natural gas in international market. If WTI crude crosses the level of 65 USD then guar may see further rise in rates. In international market crude may drop again as OPEC have taken decision to continue to increase their crude production? The current price is crude oil is not getting strong support of demand. There is still fear of further crush in crude prices.

In grain market there is no arrival but there is sufficient arrival with running factories. With big processor there is sufficient own stock. There is no problem with supply side.

Guar crop farm- healthy green guar crop

Even before last year, the situation was same. There was regular rainfall up to April, after that Monsoon was good and was bumper production. In rain fed Guar growing belt the area will same as last year. In irrigated belt farmer will switch to guar from cotton. Guar is still profitable than Cotton. Even in zero production situations there is sufficient seed for next year. Actual problem has created by producers themselves; they dumped stock in USA and selling in hyper competition.

In international market crude is strengthening. Currently it is giving strong support to guar seed and guar gum prices. In this week three main data will be released,which will decide the future of crude.

The U.S. is to release data on existing home sales as well as a government report on oil inventories.

China is to release private sector data on manufacturing activity.

Monsoon / Rainfall will be better in this year Will it increase in guar gum cultivation area in india ?

Guar is stable but within last two days guar has recovered very fast in physical market.  Guar seed has gained Rs 100 and Guar gum Rs 200. It is also noticed that guar gum is recovering faster than guar seed. There is high volatility in future market but in spot market it is improving slowly and slowly.

In rising price condition farmers/small traders are holding the stock in perception of further price rise. As per meteorological data released by Govt it is expected that rainfall will be better in this year. Manson will be normal.

Guar gum cultivation in India ( Farmer is doing plant protection ) .  

But gaur it also under direct influence from crude industry. At another side USA is also putting pressure on Iran to not continue his Atomic Program. Might be there can be some agreement to halt production of crude oil to save economy of Iran. Oil economies are facing tough conditions.

In long term Guar will emerge as an important exportable commodity. Guar needs an undisputed demand. In this year overall situation of gaur can’t be said as satisfactory, because there is a heavy volatility in this year though it was effect t of international political situation.


Guar industries need more professionalism, more organized industry more RD oriented industry. It must be come out be presented as product instead of commodity.

Guar seed and guar gum is improving with rising Crude prices.

Guar is improving after a consistent rise in crude prices during last week. Crude prices are improving regularly. It is giving strength to guar prices. Guar seed improved by Rs 100 and guar gum by 300 Rs in local physical market. It is also improving in future market.

Energy prices in international market are giving strength to guar prices. Buy if energy price keep moving downside in international market then it may further crush but if happen up side then Guar prices may cross the level of Rs 10,000 for guar gum and RS 4500 for guar seed with in march contract.

It will give double strength in next month as gaur supply from farmer will almost stop for two month and at rising price supply will very tight in trend of more margin making.

At rising price all entire stack holder will hold the commodity but if prices goes down then ever one will release the commodity.
